Environmental, social & governance

Responsible language work, practical choices and support for the communities around us.

For an online services agency, responsibility is visible in the way we work with people and information as much as in our day-to-day environmental choices. We focus on actions we can explain and improve.

01

Environmental

Work digitally where it fits the task: exchange files securely, collaborate remotely when practical and avoid unnecessary printing, travel and duplicate versions. Digital work still uses energy, so efficiency and useful content matter.

02

Social

Support clear, accessible multilingual communication, fair collaboration with language professionals and learning that helps people adapt to changing tools. We contribute our language and digital skills to causes beyond commercial projects.

03

Governance

Use documented quality processes, clear responsibilities, confidentiality and data protection. Keep human review and accountability in decisions involving specialist content or AI-assisted work.

Putting our skills to work for a cause

OMADA redesigned the ΦΟΜΠ (Animal Welfare Group of Markopoulo–Porto Rafti) website, working on its information architecture and Greek copy to bring the organization’s work into clearer view. Better navigation and clearer words help visitors understand its mission and find ways to support it. This describes the work OMADA contributed; it is not a claim about measured traffic or fundraising results.

A monthly commitment to nature

OMADA makes a monthly donation to WWF Greece. The contribution supports an organization working for nature; OMADA does not claim to be a WWF partner or to represent its programmes. We do not publish an amount or attribute specific conservation outcomes to the donation.

How we work day to day

We favor reusable terminology and translation assets, careful version management and suitable remote collaboration so the same work is not repeated without need. On client projects, we set an appropriate review level, protect confidential files and discuss the intended use before choosing a workflow. These are practical commitments for a language-services team, not a claim of carbon neutrality or a certified ESG target.

People, language and accountability

A broad network of translators, revisers, terminologists and project managers makes multilingual work possible. We aim to give collaborators a clear brief, the context and time needed for a responsible decision, and a route to flag uncertainties. AI tools can assist appropriate tasks, while people remain accountable for reviewing specialist output.

Improvement and transparency

We will revisit our practices as our work and available evidence develop. This page describes activities and working principles rather than a quantified sustainability report. Where we make a measurable claim in future, we intend to state its scope and basis.
