Dimitris Moutafis is the Managing Director of Omada since 2015. He specializes in translation, localization, terminology management, linguistic QA, MTPE and AI-output review, with strong experience in EU, legal, technical, medical, financial and regulated content. He has served as Treasurer of the Panhellenic Association of Translators, is active in the Hellenic Society for Terminology and the International Network for Terminology, and is a PhD candidate at the Ionian University, focusing on machine translation and terminology.

Omada’s story began in 1991, when founder George Katdarakis saw that professional translation was becoming more than the transfer of words from one language to another. Businesses, institutions and public bodies needed language partners who could understand context, terminology, legal precision and the real-world consequences of every translated document.

From the beginning, Omada was built around a simple but demanding idea: language work should be accurate, structured and useful. Not decorative. Not generic. Not treated as an afterthought. The company grew by supporting clients who needed reliable Greek and multilingual communication in legal, technical, financial, medical, institutional and EU-related environments.

Over the years, the nature of content changed. Documents became digital. Workflows became faster. Clients needed translation memories, terminology control, revision, linguistic QA, MTPE and technology-assisted processes. Omada evolved with these needs, combining experienced human translators with modern language technology and structured quality procedures.

Today, Omada is a distributed team of translators, revisers, terminologists, project managers and language technology specialists.
