A New Year’s message from Dimitris Moutafis
Back in December 2015 I became the Managing Director of Omada, and what a busy but exciting seven years it has been! Our goal at Omada has always been to make our clients’ lives easier and help you grow globally by pioneering, innovating, and delivering reliably day in and day out, and that won’t ever change.
Before we look to the future, I thought I’d take a moment to reflect and share some of our highlights from 2022:
On January 2022, OMADA successfully passed our 2022 Annual ISO 9001 and ISO 17100 Audits – added MTPE as a new service
On March 2022, I was re-elected to the BoD of the Panhellenic Association of Translators during the association’s second fully digital annual General Meeting for the 2022-2024 period.
After such a long time of being away, we were excited to finally welcome back in-person events. Omada proudly sponsored one of Europe’s most celebrated terminology events, the International Terminology Summer School TSS 2022 held in Athens.
On June 10, I delivered a guest lecture on translation careers to students at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Department of English Language and Literature.
In November, my colleagues and I attended the Translating Europe Forum 2022 event in Brussels, Belgium – and we can’t wait to see you in 2023!
In December, we had a new addition to OMADA’s tech stack: Trados Business Manager, our new out-of-the-box translation management system, helps us with the end-to-end management of translation jobs with an easy to use functionality – from data storage and quote creation to invoicing and reporting.

What next?
We want to know what difficulties you face, how you want to work, and the advances in technology you need to do your job. That’s why we conducted our 2022 Translation Technology Insights (TTI) research, an in-depth global survey designed to uncover what the translation industry needs. Look out for the results from the survey being released soon.
